# Sandbox Terms of Use
**STATUS — NOT YET REVIEWED BY COUNSEL. Version `{terms_version}`.**
This document was drafted from the product specification, not by a lawyer.
Gate R-141 §1 requires review and sign-off by counsel before publication, and
that has not happened. Values in `{braces}` are configuration placeholders and
must be replaced with real values before this document is published. Until both
are done, this text is a draft for review.

## 1. What these terms cover
These terms govern your use of the `{Brand}` sandbox at `{domain}`, operated by
`{legal_entity}` ("we", "us"). By creating an account you accept them.
If you do not accept them, do not create an account. There is no other way to
use the sandbox.
## 2. What the sandbox is
The sandbox is a **demonstration environment**. It exists so that you can see
how the product works before any commercial conversation.
Everything inside it is simulated:
- **The cards are not real.** No payment instrument is created, issued or
activated. Card numbers shown are mock values and cannot be used anywhere.
- **The transactions are not real.** They are produced by a generator on a
schedule. They represent no purchase, no merchant and no money.
- **The cardholders are not real.** They are generated records with addresses on
a reserved demonstration domain, and our mail system refuses to send to them.
- **No money moves.** At no point does the sandbox hold, transfer, or have
access to funds — yours or anyone else's.
Anything you see in the sandbox that looks like a financial figure is
illustrative. **It is not an offer**, not a quotation, and not a commitment as
to price, timing or availability.
## 3. What we are, and what we are not
We provide software and programme operations. **We hold no payment, banking or
e-money licence and make no claim to one.**
We are not a bank. We are not an electronic money institution. We are not the
issuer of any card. In a live programme, cards are issued by a licensed issuing
platform or its partner bank, which is the issuer of record; that issuer makes
the final decisions on customer onboarding, transaction authorisation, disputes
and any freezing of funds. Those decisions are not ours and we do not represent
ourselves as able to make them.
Nothing in the sandbox, and nothing we say about it, should be read as an offer
to issue a card, hold funds, or provide a regulated service.
## 4. Who may use the sandbox
You may create an account only if all of the following are true.
- You are acting for a business, not as a consumer, and you are authorised to
act for it.
- **You are not a resident of the Russian Federation.** This restriction follows
from Council Regulation (EU) 833/2014 Article 5b and is not waivable.
- You are not a resident of a country or region under embargo, and you are not
subject to sanctions.
- You are at least 18 years old.
We screen residency at registration, from your IP address and from the details
you declare. A match against the restricted list means registration is refused.
If we later determine that an account does not meet these conditions, we will
close it.
## 5. Your account
You are responsible for the security of your account and for everything done
through it. Choose a password you do not use elsewhere, enable two-factor
authentication where offered, and tell us promptly at `{contact_email}` if you
believe your account has been used without your permission.
Do not share your account. Do not create an account for someone else to use.
## 6. Acceptable use
You may use the sandbox to evaluate the product. You may not:
- attempt to access data belonging to another account;
- probe, scan or test the security of the service, or circumvent any limit,
quota or access control, except with our prior written permission;
- upload real cardholder data, real payment credentials, or personal data of
people who have not agreed to it — the sandbox is not built to hold them and
we do not want them;
- use the service to build a competing product, to scrape it in bulk, or to
resell access to it;
- use it for anything unlawful, or in a way that damages the service or other
users.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section, and we do not owe
you notice before doing so where the breach is serious.
## 7. Availability and changes
The sandbox is provided **as is** and **as available**. We do not promise it
will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. We may
change it, restrict features, or withdraw it, at any time and without notice.
We may suspend your access where we reasonably believe it is necessary to
protect the service, other users, or ourselves — including while we investigate
a possible breach of section 4 or section 6.
## 8. Your data in the sandbox
Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of
these terms.
Demonstration data you create is deleted on the schedule set out in the Privacy
Policy — in outline, ninety days after the programme goes inactive. Do not treat
the sandbox as storage. Keep your own copy of anything you need.
Two categories are retained beyond that: records connected to a sanctions match
or subject to a legal hold, which we keep for five years, and the audit trail of
actions taken in the system, which is never deleted. The Privacy Policy explains
both.
## 9. Ownership
The service, its software, its design and its content are ours or our licensors'.
These terms give you permission to use the sandbox for evaluation, and nothing
else. You keep ownership of anything you upload, and you grant us permission to
store and display it for the purpose of running the service for you.
Do not use our name, logo or branding to suggest a partnership, endorsement or
licence that does not exist.
## 10. Liability
The sandbox is free and simulated, and it is provided without warranty of any
kind, to the extent the law allows.
We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data, or any indirect or
consequential loss arising from your use of the sandbox. Where liability cannot
be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for the sandbox, which
is nil.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence,
for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
## 11. Ending it
You may stop using the sandbox at any time and ask us to close your account at
`{contact_email}`.
We may close your account if you breach these terms, if you no longer meet the
conditions in section 4, or if we withdraw the sandbox. Sections 3, 8, 9, 10 and
12 survive closure.
## 12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of `{governing_law}`, and the courts of
`{jurisdiction}` have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
## 13. Changes to these terms
When this document changes, its version changes with it, and the version you
accepted is recorded against your registration. Your acceptance is therefore
always tied to the text you actually saw. Where a change materially affects you,
we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue.
The current version of this document is `{terms_version}`.
